I am always scared it would use to MUCH from anything else that it was not intended for use. Say miracle grow sprayer. So I am hauling the watering cans all over the yard lol.

i mix in 5 galoon buckets and haul from place to place with a plastic folgers can,with the halfas- handles,makes it a little easier.i to am not sure about the hose sprayer and the miracle grow.

Patrica, I water and fertilze exactly the same way you do. The lot that my home is situated on is small and flat only in the front, sides and a small portion of the back yard. The rest is hillside, living where I do in West Virgina flat land is rare.

I have my brugs in the front and side yard. On each side of the house I keep about 10 five gallon buckets filled with water at all times. This way I only have to drag the hose out to refill the buckets.

I have one of those, but I never use it..I am always scared it's not gonna mix right. Who knows what flow rate is the proper rate to apply it right? Some people's water pressure may not be as strong as others..ya know? I just use my 2 gallon watering can, and haul. PITA but at least I know the plants are getting the right amount of everything.
The only thing I would use the MG sprayer for is foliar feed..but I havent yet, lol.

I've been carrying the fertilizer (150+ brugs & all the rest of the gardens). Night before last, I finally got tired of it & found the sprayer. I couldn't get the hose end off to put it on. Son tried & he couldn't get it either. Now I will have to wait for DH to come home which is not until Sat this week. It's like that stupid thing is welded on there. It takes me over an hour & a half to fertilize each individual plant. Some get regular MG & the brugs & flowers get bloom booster. I'm out here twice a week for the brugs. I also spray everything with The Recipe a couple times a week. I went from a little hand sprayer to a pump sprayer on a coke bottle. Much easier but still takes too long. Now I think I'm ready for the tank sprayer. It's almost Aug, I think if summer was too much longer, it would kill me. And I haven't had a really good flush yet this year. I didn't have to water last night, it rained & we had ANOTHER tornado warning. What is it with the weather this year?

I spent 2 hours carrying buckets all over the backyard to feed everything individually. I haven't done the front yard yet. Everything needs it, but I don't like not being able to control how much chemical is mixed in those sprayers. I wouldn't mind using something like a backpack sprayer to feed with though. Linda

reading all the hard labor we do to make our Brugs happy tells me one thing.......we are addicted and LOVE them a whole lot ;-)

Maybe I could carry a backpack sprayer? The buckets are hard on my neck holding them in front of me. Thats why I was wondering about the hose sprayer thing but with my luck I would kill everything. I guess I'll keep hauling a gallon at a time but if I mix it up in a big container and dip it out it would be better than mixing a gallon at a time at least. Thanks for the ideas.

I,too would be very interested in getting a hose end sprayer. I have to lug buckets ALL around the yard several times because of the feeding, anti-aphids/mites, etc., and the plain watering. In my hot zone, right now, I have to water 2x a day. Granted the feedings are not that often, but it still is a hard chore for this old (over-70-and-still- working-fulltime)girl!! Anyone got a favorite kind or brand to recommend? Seriously going to buy one soon!

I like my 5 gallon buckets for fertilizer. I put too much diff stuff in there when I fertilize to use a sprayer.
I have a pinched nerve in my neck that I am procrastinating about and I hate lugging those buckets due to pain the next day! DH got me one of those big metal garden wagons from HD, but you could use any wagon...anyhow set your buckets on the wagon, then mix up your fertilizer,water, etc. in the buckets. It is much easier to pull the wagon around than carry buckets of water or walk back n forth a million times lol!

Turns out DH also had an ulterior motive with my wagon
(A fishing cart to take out to the pier!- He made some fishing rod holders out of pvc and was gonna bolt them on it...-
NOT! So just for that I'm gonna paint it metallic pink and write something hideous on it like 'Flower Queen' He won't want to use it then :P

I have a few sprayers in the garage, but never use them. I really hardly ever feed anything, so maybe using the sprayer would help me do that.

Lenette, that is so funny! I can visualize that pink wagon, LOL!

SJN, I say you let him put the PVC on..it'd be a good tool holder for you! Stick them in by the handles.

Lol, my little pink wagon. Hubby bought me one too but I have to hook it up behind the riding lawnmower and its a pain. I could use my little red wagon I guess. You guys always give me good ideas.

Wagons? You people have room to pull wagons between your plants???

I'm with you, Linda. Any room I might have is immediately planted with a Brug. Sooo Many Brugs; Sooo little Room!lol

Kristy, I pull a 30 or 50 gallon drum lying sideways in my little wagon with my riding lawn mower. George made me a little hose that is attached to something like a hoe handle and when I get to the next plant I want to water I just hold the handle down and the water runs out from gravity. The best thing to do is to set something under the back end of the drum, so it will be slightly elevated. Therefore the water will run out. I mix all kinds of fertilizers in there. I add them first, then add the water. That way it is mixed very well by the time I get to the first plants. Works very well for me but then I have a HUGE AREA to water. Needless to say I make many trips with the wagon and mower each day. (frown) IT's more like a job than and love for gardening. But like someone before me said, ahhh the pains we will go to to take care of our plants.

I'm still praying for rain here..... wanna help me pray? Then we can skip the watering for a day or so.
