Should I put my Black Swallowtail Chrysalis outdoors?

Hello all. I'm sort of an accidental butterfly gardener, and loving it! Anyway, this year we brought in a baby black swallowtail and fed it on parsley. It just pupated 2 days ago and I've read that these guys overwinter as pupa if they pupate in the fall. I live in Baltimore City, and I feel like this guy could probably safely emerge in another week or so, but that I should perhaps put it outside so that it reacts to the real temperatures and day length, rather than the indoor climate, just in case it's too late. It pupated on a stick that I left in the tank, unfortunately very close to the bottom, so I took the stick out of the tank and have it suspended from a windowsill. Should I move it outdoors, and, if so, is there anything I can do to keep it safer from predators? Are there predators at this stage? Thanks!
