It is very interesting. I have a feeling that it is not as simple as shown. There is no mention of the amount of energy used in the process. If this were efficient, I think many industries would jump at the opportunity. Any time an abundant by product can be used to make a product in great demand someone will do it. Al

I looked, but didn't find that at the local library. It sounds interesting. This is OT from your post, but I'll share it here anyway. I'm always on the lookout for new ideas and saving. I googled 'frualities' and came up with this blog. It has some interesting reading and ideas. Some of the ideas are things that we've previously discussed on this website, but with maybe a little spin. I like that she shares some of her recipes. I've always felt that a 'frugal cookbook' of how-to's would work wonders for people. Not everyone has the experience to be able to throw a little of this and a little of that together. rouan, Whisky was just listening to me - she is a very intelligent dog, and puts her head on the side like that a lot. dedtired, the car is an Hyundai i30 diesel. We have had it for nearly a year, and it is a great car with fantastic fuel consumption - 5.8l/100km or about 50mpg (depending on whether you are talking about US gallons or UK/Aus ones). My husband can take all credit for the garden - he did all the landscaping, has installed underground watering for the lawn as we are on water restrictions here, and has planted lots of interesting things. The big tree is a white sapote; it has an interesting fruit about the size of a small apple, green with a fragile skin, and a lovely vanilla taste. Unfortunately it is also quite slimy in texture and I can't bring myself to eat it! There is also an orange, a pineapple guava and a pistachio (which is off to the right and can't be seen), and that's just the front yard!
