Where are you growing this plant?
What about lighting, hows your watering, and what kind of water?

Well, I have some nepenthes alata in a window right now, and one of them is producing pitchers, while the other two are producing new leaves like crazy but the pitchers either are not forming, or are just doing it very slowly. All have the same exact conditions, so I'm not sure why one would be doing so well and the other two wouldn't. I would say for you to mix up some very weak orchid fertilizer or superthrive in a mist bottle with distilled water and mist that sucker everyday. Also make sure it is getting plenty of sunlight.

Like you said, your new condition is drier, your plant is a tough cookie (all neps generally are) but the poor thing will suffer shock.
Superthrive is a good thing to use in helping a plant through shock, but its something you dont want to go overboard with.
If you used it to foliar feed (no watering with it) then you''d be looking to half the recommended dosage on the bottle and use it as instructed ethier weekly or bi-weekly/monthly.
Something that may help the little guy settle in is a misting a few times per day, try to give it bright sunny conditions that dont get full sun.
These plants enjoy the same kind of growing conditions as African Violets.
They like to be constantly moist but never soaked (as in the roots dont like to sit in water).

I moved to Port Elizabeth, South Africa with all my Nepenthes (Ventricosa, Sanguinea, Ventrata, Judith Finn).
Now Utah had very very low humidity (about 10%) where Port Elizabeth is a constant 80-100% (Its freaking terrible at times,lol)
Even though you'd think the plants would perk up, they stopped growth AGAIN when they got here due to the shock.
Every pitcher my Sanguinea pushed out turned black and died, I just kept giving it the normal care as always, now 2 months later its got a perfect pitcher and is pushing out leaves rapidly.
These plants do adapt very well to different climates but do need some time to adjust, like I said, I feel if you have it in a bright area and mist it, that it should settle in quicker.
Dont worry too much about the pichers not developing as the plant uses a MASSIVE amount of energy to make these, the poor thing is just a tad stressed out at the moment.

Sure in a month or two the little guy will be pushing out pitchers again.
The Orchid or Epiphytes Fertilizers I would be careful of, yes they are a handy tool to help feed your plant, Superthrive can aid if used ONCE monthly to get the plant to make lots of folige, BUT BUT BUT, just like vitamins are good for you, swallow a bottle of multi-vitamin everyday and you will be in hospital soon, please take my word on this, dont foliar feed your plant daily with orchid fertilizer or superthrive.

The way I'm growing this plant is this. I just bought a large hanging pot of coconut fiber. I bought this on the idea that it would let the roots breathe better. I took the orginal potting mix which appears to be a mix of peat and orchid bark. I broke up the soil a little and examined the roots. They mostly appear white and fresh. I made a layer of gravel in the pot, then the original potting mix, then a layer of epiphytic orchid mix (looks like charcoal and bark) and more of the orginal soil which I topped off with dried ground sphagnum peat. I then placed a thick layer of pshragnum moss. I noticed the orchids in Lowes hardware, which my nepenthes closely resembles were planted in deep layers of moss with mixes of orchid mix. I gave it a lot of water and keep the moss very damp. I bought a hygrometer at the pet shop, glued it to a popsicle stick and stuck it in the moss to watch humidity which ranges from 60 - 80 percent. I water it with filtered water. In Georgia its warm in the day and cold at night. So I hang it outside in the day and take it in at night. The leaves have begun to beef up but no signs of pitchers.

I've never heard of superthirve. I use a 1 gallon jug of filtered water with a half teaspoon mixed of epiphytic orchid fertilizer once a week. Sometimes I mist it.

Amy ideas? I'd like to get the pitchers back.

I purchased a N. cocciana a year back from Home depot and had the same problem. Obviously Home depot was killing it with poor light and tap water, but for only 10 bux and no shipping I couldn't resist. It took about a month before it even began growing leaves quickly, but still no pitchers. I superthrived, and got a small greenhouse to up the humidity, but still, the pitchers would begin, then die (if anyone knows why this is, please respond, I personally think its from not keeping the media wet during pitcher developement)Anyway, I've only gotten one large pitcher to produce on the original plant, but the new growths from the base have both pitchered a few times, as well the cuttings I took to fit it in the greenhouse, which are only 3-5 months old. My belief is that old, shocked, and or stressed out neps dont pitcher half as good as their younger counter parts unless given optimum conditions, say... the jungle. I currently want to chop the entire old section off in hopes of more pitchers on the younger section, but I am still waiting for more input from the forum.

Please don't do this because I said I do it, I wouldn't want you to come back later and tell me you tried it and it killed your plants, but I use superthrive about every other day on mine, and I have noticed a huge amount of new growth since I started doing that. I really don't think you have to be as careful with it as most people think. Like I said though, be on the safe side and don't use it like I do. It has really perked my plants up, though, and I'm using it a lot. I was just misting with water before, and nothing has changed except for the increased use of the superthrive, and I'm really suprised at the results.

Well Neps are very mineral hardy, out of all the CP's they can do pretty well with mineral rich water, not to say that its good for them.
I would not advise you put ANY fertilizer of ANY SORT in its drinking water that gets to the roots, only a foliar feed would be suggested here.
Your potting mix sounds fine, you want a mix that is very well draining and that will just stay moist but never be water logged.
Many people use Coir, from what Ive read it does not do that well with other CP's though.
An easy mix for a Nep (traditional mix) would be something like 2 parts Perlite, 1 Part Sphagnum Peat.

I went a more "deluxe route" now back in South Africa by potting like this:
Put layer of Long Fibre Sphagnum on bottom of pot to stop any soil mix from escaping.
1 part of each of these mixed together:
Perlite, Vermiculite, LFS, Peat Moss, Orchid Bark
I did this as a test with Peter D' Amato's "Deluxe Nep Mix", Im missing 2 or 3 things from his like Pumice, Charcoal and Lava Rock.
The Neps seem very happy and are growing at a good rate.
I cant say that they are any happier than when I grew them in 2 parts Perlite and 1 Part Peat though.

Superthrive ia a great growth addetive, but I've seen and heard the bad side of too much on many CP's news groups.
Over use of it also appears to lead to a HUGE mass of leaf growth, the downside is that there are no pitchers produced.
From testing the growers have found that a monthly misting (half recommeded dosage on bottle) gives the plant an extra boost with folige growth and still has its large good looking pitchers.
Many people have wondered if SuperThrive is a gimick or not.
I attempted to test this with leaf cuttings as well as newly purchased plants.
The Superthrive soaked leaves (D Capensis) did produce plantlets long before the untreated leaves and had faster growth to begin with.
The new plants that where under stress from shipping and from climatising (D. Capensis Giant, Alba, Typical and D. Aliciae Typical) had their roots soaked for 30 minutes in a solution of 1 drop per cup full of water.
The results where that the soaked plants adapted and started growth a few weeks before the unsoaked plants got their act together.

From what I've seen it has benefit, mabey its just coincidence, but seems to be good stuff.
