Did I do something wrong?

I posted a message earlier today w/a couple of pictures asking for some help on a pot w/some cacti that might be dead or alive.
Did I post incorrectly? Did I say something wrong? Please let me know if I have done something to offend. If this is not the proper forum for my question please let me know. Thanks much!

I don't believe you (and am sure others would agree) said "anything wrong" or offended anyone. May I ask why you feel you did?

lme5573 and Chris have replied to your post (if you didn't see). Ime5573 was just merely "bumping" the post up for you, as once your post receives a reply (or in your case, you posted a second photo, which to GW, seems like a reply), it will continue to drop down the list and possibly out of sight for some people. He/She (sorry!) was just making sure it stayed up top so it would be seen by others. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks for your reply! I just kept seeing my message go further and further down and got worried it would not be seen w/all the new posts coming in! I am new to forums and wasn't sure how older messages got answered.
Again, I appreciate your reply and look forward to learning more about my newly adopted plants!

Mine was gone for about 10 days. And just last couple have come back. We had colder then normal temps. And I think they went farther south. But counts are down-lot because of Katrina. Feeders and food wasn't there for them. But I hope they have a great nesting season. And back fighting over the feeders

cjsm, thank you so much for the follow-up. I am hearing rather conflicting messages from different people though - my local nursery people told me to keep on watering, since this is a new tree and the root system is not well-developed yet. On the other hand, I hear what you are saying and the overwatering theory in clay soil (which I also have) definitely makes sense! I think I am going to stop watering it for a few days and see what happens. You know, it's hard when you see the leaves drooping in the strong afternoon sun and still not water it! At least it is getting cooler around here these days... BTW, cjsm, my tree was planted in a big planting hole on a slope, and I had plenty of cow manure and things amending the local clay soil, so I think I don't need to take it out to raise it more. I hope this does the trick! Thank you again for your info.

Crockpot Caramelized Onions--what did I do wrong?

Thanks for the crockpot report. I was going to try this but don't think I will now especially since I am already quite pleased with the results when I roast the onions (after spraying with a little olive oil Pam spray and dousing them with soy sauce.) The results are dry and carmelized after baking at 350 for about 30 minutes in a shallow pan since you want as much air to get to the onions as possible while baking (and don't overcrowd for same reason). If you try this, line your pan with tin foil or parchment paper to help avoid a messy cleanup.

You're fine! As lme5573 said, he/she (sorry again!) realizes how busy this forum can be sometimes and before you know it, your post is on the next page if it doesn't get bumped up sometimes (hence, he/she was bumping it up for you). It takes alittle while sometimes to get a response depending on how many new posts are submitted at the same time, so no worries.

Did you see your two replies? I think you had some advice on the care of one of yours and a response to if the others were dead or not.
