Tree. Especially for the versicolors and others that hang straight down.

Tree for me tto, makes them much easier to take care of in the fall.

I prefer the tree look as well.

This is my first year for having one in tree shape, and I love it! Tree for ME!

I do both.but I like 3 trunked looks also& have thought of doing a mound& growing a mound of Y cuttings& try to bloom the whole mound.I agree...it depends on what cultiver as to how I'd grow it.I'd only grow dr suess as a tree form.

I have 1 frosty I always grow as shrub& my hand cramps every year when cutting that down& bucketing them up.I'm very tempted to use hubbys saw ~saw.* its rechargeable too.so no cord!It also has the thickest trunks.

Aesthetically, I think my vote is for multi-trunk tree. I'm kinda inclined to see how each plant "wants" to develop and then decide the final form I'm willing to allow. I have to say tho, this is my first year with brugs so I'm not speaking with the voice of experience!

My two big whites are 1 and 2 trunk tree forms, my big gold is a cluster tree form with 10 trunks, my pick is just bushy although 7-8 feet tall, and my variegated gold is bushy about 6 feet tall.

All are very nice. Tree form seems to be easier for us up North as we have to dig them up, pot them, and bring them inside and most people do not have room inside for a plant that is bush for and 10 feet in diameter...LOL?

I like them both, but I guess I would say that a single or tri-trunk tree with flowers hanging down over your head looks nice.

This is kind of like when I lived in the South and there were those who trimmed their Magnolia trees so they could walk under them and the other that let them grow naturally with the branches from the ground up.

I'd say that a tree form is more of an impact because most of the flowers are at eye level or higher. I like a tree form that has two or three large trunks that is bushy on the top. Just my opinion that it gives it more 'character' with more than one trunk. Most of mine are shrubby but I am trying to get a few more 'trees' now.

I like the tree form as well. Here we get a pretty strong winter but absolute lows rarely exceed -2C, and in some microclimates they never fall below freezing at all. So there are some huge plants here, many very tree-like. I hope my little babies will grow like crazy next year and give me some "trees" as well! PF

I like the shrub form the first time I fell in love with a brug it was giant shrub form just as wild as they are in South American jungles with all those blooms hanging. It was like waves and waves of giant pink blooms.

Oh, definitely tree form. I remember a neighbor had a beautiful tree'd brug about 9 feet tall(!)on my block when I was a kid and it was the most exotic thing imaginable! Aspire to have something similar eventually.

Mine make trees whether I want them too or not. I can't see myself out pruning them to make shrubs. Tally Ho!

Trees or Multi Trunk Trees Easier to handle in the fall. I have started setting them out in
our garden among the low growing stuff and I really like the look.
