A few less Lima beans, a few more butterflies!

Well, it finally happened. I planted some milkweed in my veggie garden.

I had tried to keep my two growing endeavors separate, but my veggie garden offers frequent and scheduled watering thanks to an irrigation controller! And I have a corner that stays a bit too shady for all the veggies I have tired to put there. I now have three short rows of A. currvassica doing very well.

I would have liked to say the monarchs had not found this new patch yet...but when pinching back the plants today for bushier plants I found eggs.

Has any one else suffered this dilemma?
