Hey thanks!

I needed some replacement capillary mats for my seed starters and I didn't want to pay the shipping for such a cheap item. I just ordered some and now I'm a happy camper :-)

What! you forgot your own shopping tip, LOL. I've never ordered from there. I have never been in their shop either. I live in Iowa and we don't get much in the way of specialty shops, except the small boutique type shops that can make a go of it in the larger cities. One has to go to Minneapolis or Kansas City or Chicago for these ultra urban shopping opportunities. Iowa is like the last frontier for the large specialty stores. We just got a Trader Joe's 3 years ago and 2 years ago we got a Whole Foods. We don't have an Ikea, nor a Crate & Barrel, nor a Nordstroms, nor a Restoration Hardware. Sometimes that's a good thing. Often, I believe, we in North America have too many choices for our own good.

I have been in several Lee Valley Stores in Canada and they are amazing! One of the best purchases that we made was the cone coffee filter holder---$3.30. It mounts on the inside of the cabinet door and you refill it once in a while. Just perfect for storing your filters. Page 219 in the hardware catalog. It is really mind boggling when you are at the store as they carry all of this stuff that is in the catalog. It is also a woodworker's paradise. They have a woodworker's shop at the back of the store and I think they also teach woodworking classes. They also are very prompt at responding to any email questions that you may have (been there) and the catalogs are beautiful when you get them.

Lee Valley is having a pretty cool Cyber Monday sale . . . you can buy a Gift Card and get a discount on it ! That would totally work if you know you are going to buy something in the future. I've been using those permanent markers for a few years now and they are great. Definitely UV resistant. I use them for all the tags on my winter sowing and they last quite well. Some tags/labels have lasted up to three seasons. :O)

FYI, Just don't get the tip wet. It prevents them from writing and it's hard to get them going again so I do all my tags inside or only bring them out on a nice day.

My last one kept me going for three years marking well over 500 labels a season.
