I think you're right Carol. I will just keep at it and hope I'll eventually see more. This may be my last try with Pentas. They're always the same size at the end of the summer as when I first plant them and never have more than two flower clusters at a time. There must be a secret I don't know yet. I grew Butterfly Red last year and another dark pink one and never saw butterflies on them. The butterflies were all over the Butterfly Red at a display garden near here though. They just didn't like mine. My lantana last year grew like gangbusters. It really impressed me. I've been watching for Miss Huff and haven't found it yet. They also had 'New Gold', something Cream that was pale yellow, Flame Improved and a couple others. I need to research which ones they like best.

I really like your picture, Sherry! I noticed when I raised them for the first time last year how much they remind me of a snake. When my parents came to visit one day and I showed the GST cats to them, my mother didn't even like to be close to them and said they look like some kind of a monster. :-) Cathy

GSTs have been known (CalSherry, I think) to eat another cat when big cats are kept in the cage with little ones - it appears to be more of an accident than on purpose, you know, it's eating the leaf and doesn't realize the little one's on it. I keep mine separated by size, and since you get a lot that hatch on or close to the same day, it isn't a problem. There's absolutely no need for each cat to have its own container. All early instar GST cats have those funny projections near their head - they disappear later. Congrats on your GSTs, Cathy - you'll love raising them! Sherry

I've never noticed orange dogs eating blossoms. I suspect they just naturally abscissed. And unless this is a very small tree, I suspect there are many that did not drop. I'm always amazed with fruit trees, especially grapefruit and avocado, when it will appear that all the flowers have dropped. Then a few weeks later, you begin to notice lots of little fruit forming, from flowers you simply missed in the original inspection.
