It's a Kalanchoe or, as the right-thinking people refer to it as, a Bryophyllum (just kidding!).

Do a search here for its common name 'Mother of Millions' or Brypophyllum, and you'll find lots of information, not that you need it, as it appears to be growing well.

Do be careful of releasing this Kraken in your yard - you may never get it out of it.

HA, oh how cool!! Wow, you just pulled that off the top of your head? I've heard of Kalanchoes (plural?) before, but man, this looks nothing like the standard ones I've seen. And goodness, it appears to be related to jades somehow as well? It's also poisonous- good to know. Oh, this has me excited. I never did well in botany (loved it, just failed it), but this is FUN! :) I love taxonomy... I notice that most information about Kalanchoes refer to the babies as "plantlets". Is there a true difference between "pups" and "plantlets"?

And no worries- this kid is on a concrete balcony that is over another concrete balcony. These little plantlets are going nowhere fast.

It's proper name is Bryophyllum daigremontianum

It is distantly related to Jade (Crassula ovata), both belong to the Crassulaceae family. Pups are branches from a stem, and many succulents pup. However, the plantlets formed on the leaf edges by the Mother of Millions are characteristic of the genus Bryophyllum. They are officially classed as Noxious Weeds in Australia. They do make wonderful floral displays. Enjoy! ;)

I believe your plant is Kalanchoe x houghtonii (previously called Bryophyllum 'Houghton's Hybrid').

The one Brad named has leaves that curl up at the petiole (and usually wider, larger leaves). (Mother of Thousands)

One year, when I was trying to get rid of this one that invades every pot, I was moving my plants inside for the fall and lo and behold, the cracks in my deck were full of little plantlets growing! I think I finally got rid of them all here at home, but found one growing in with a Euphorbia as I moved my plants outside at work a week ago. They're a cute plant and I grew them for years, but oh such a nuisance! I put one in the ground on the south side of my house years ago and it got to over 3' tall! For some reason, I was compelled to bring it inside, but I was glad I did because it bloomed...

I tossed it after that because it got so etoliated and ugly, but I think that year was the beginning of the end for it in my collection because it shedded hundreds of the plantlets and became my nemisis!
