Identification needed for succulents

Hi there!!

Can anybody please identify my two new succulents? I searched everywhere but no any result.

Is the first one (brown leaves) a crassula??

The 1st one is some kind of Kalanchoe

I agree that #1 looks like a kalanchoe. Daniel's shows a very similar plant that is tagged *K. Unnamed #6, possibly K. bracteata*.

As to the second one, I just cant see this one well enough to make a guess. Could be a sedum, or one of the 'stacked' crassulas(?), cant tell.

I'd plant the sad looking one separately in a small pot with gritty mix or full Turface. It'll come back. I did the same thing with mine in the thread below with the help of some forum members. That one was odd because in the whole large pot, only that one ailed whereas the others are as happy as can be. Much like yours looks. Unlike you, *I* did this to this lolant, lol. So, logically, whatever is working okay for the others is not working for that Echeveria. While I originally potted it into potting mix first because the roots looked really dry, I think, in hindsight, potting it straight into gritty mix would have expedited the situation. The Jade and Panda, I'd also separate into separate pretty and small pots, too. But that's just me. :-) Grace Here is a link that might be useful: Project Revive: SOS

Larry, It sounds like a Bryophyllum, which are related to Kalanchoe. Picture - load your picture up to a photo-hosting service, like PhotoBucket or Flickr. Once the picture's there, get its 'a href....' code (copy it from the site and paste the code in the body of your message here) and hit 'Preview' - your pic should show up. In the interests of full disclosure, if it is a Bryophyllum, it's considered by many to be a weed, (particularly in Mediterranean climates, where it grows faster than inflation), but what do many know?

I would start off with morning sun:). At about 11am the plants should move into some shade. I'm not saying everyday at 11am go outside and move the plants into some shade, but put somewhere outside where the sun shines until about 11am or even till 12pm then the plants get shaded. The afternoon sun is usually what burns the plants. Unless you live on the equator and even then morning sun could burn plants;). Do this for a week or two. I have a feeling full morning sun will be enough for the echies, but that cactus can take all day sun. The two above get all day sun:). So after about about one or two weeks of morning sun move the plants into more sun. A spot where shade comes at like 1pm/2pm. Do that for a week. Then move to a spot where the shade comes at about 3pm. Do that for a week or so. If you get no burns at the 3pm mark, they're ready for the all day sun:). Does that make sense. It's kinda hard to explain. Your mix looks fine so your good there:).

I think the second one looks a lot like my Crassula lycopodioides, even though it's rather difficult to tell for sure from the photos.

Can you please!!! provide me with cultivation info for mw succulents: Kalanchoe bracteata and Crassula lycopodioides?
I made an internet research and I found insufficient info.

The deserttropicals.com has some info on care and cultivation. I don't know if the second is the crassula lycopodioides. It is too hard to tell in the picture without an upclose clear picture of leaf sets. You might want to take another picture using the closeup setting if you have one. Then you could get a better id.

I believe you have found a correct ID in *Crassula lycopodioides*...however, yours looks a bit etiolated. How much sun is it getting? You may want to give it a bit more light. hth -

The sight I use for Id had a picture that looked a lot more olive green in color and the leaves looked fatter. Could just be a maturity thing, or j is right: yours may need more sun.
