I'm soooo not ready for this (monarchs)!

Well, I was this morning, when I found one teeny tiny cat on my gomphocarpus. I came home, found 3 more on it, and 2 more on A. incarnata. One on the AI was larger; I'm surprised he made it this far, with all the wasps around! All plants were wintersown this year, and are small, especially the gomphocarpus. I counted at least 8 more eggs; 5 of which are on the small gomphocarpus! A few weeks ago, I spotted 4 tiny cats, which I gave another day to fatten up. My 6yo insisted I take them in, and I didn't listen. The next day, they were gone. So now, I have 6 cats in 3 Glad containers. I'm trying to keep them separated by the plants they were picked off of. I have got to get my cage ready; dh built me one similar to one recently posted on this forum! Wooooo-hooooooo! But, with my established milkweeds looking sooooo pathetic (browned) and cat-less, I can only hope I'll have enough milkweed! I'm going to sow some more seed and boost them with fertilizer. Wish me luck ;)
