Hi there. I'm hoping you can help with an extremely troubling symptom I discovered on one of my plants a few days ago. I've had a look through the site FAQ and I can't find anything that is relevant - if I missed something apologies for the post and I'll happily be redirected elsewhere!
A few months ago I purchased an euphorbia ingens variegata (hope the spelling is correct - the label on the plant is unclear). I'm based in the UK, so unfortunately growing conditions aren't always ideal for cacti / succulents, and to make matters worse I've been unable to provide much light for the poor plant due to my current living arrangement.
Hopefully that will change soon, but in the meantime I've noticed light brown markings appear towards the top of the plant. The areas affected are still solid and it doesn't seem like rotting as I have experienced it with other cacti / succulents. I've hardly watered due to winter and because of the lack of light that the plant is currently getting. The whole thing still appears sturdy and healthy apart from these brown marks. I'm wondering if it's a lack of nutrient problem?
The only other notable symptom I can make out is that most of the browning is at the back of the plant, away from the window. I'm wondering if that indicates a light issue, but there is still traces of the brown marking on the front of the plant too. Unfortunately it's quite an unwieldy beast measuring over a metre from top soil to tallest branch, so it's difficult to manoeuvre to ensure equal exposure to light from all sides (nor would I have thought this would matter in non-growing season).
I've included a few pictures if any kind soul would like to share their opinions - any advice gratefully received, I really don't want to lose this amazing plant!

I tried to find out a bit more on this species online, but there doesn't seem to be much about. Here's an ID pic:
