It's been a nice weekend...received few succulents!

But again no name tags. I tried, I really, really tried...but they all are beginning to look same to me. Echeveria-Dudleya-Crassula...I am lost.

I thought that:

#2,3 & 5 looked like some of the Cotyledons

#4 looks like Crassula columella (or rupestris var.marnieriana)

#6 may be Echeveria 'Perle Von NÃÂ¼rnberg' but my rosette looks more "loose" to me/not as many leaves than most of the pics

I am probably waaaaay off...

Any suggestions?

You're probably right about #6.

#4 is a Crassula "Moonglow."

I think #2 is some kind of Andromischus cristatus and #3 is some kind of Senecio. I'm sure rosemariero6 will be by to fill in the blanks and correct what I got wrong.

Upon receiving any active plant thru any form of transit, water thoroughly. Phaelenopsis orchids like high indirect light, but will tolerate early to mid morning sun. Water once a week or so. Water thoroughly when the Sphagnum moss looks dry. Allow pot to drain completely before returning to its place. About that clear pot, many orchid growers believe that Phael roots may photosynthesize a bit. A few roots may grow above ground, and that is just fine. Let them be aerial, and mist them once or twice a week. I don't know about that mix pictured in your post, but it doesn't look like a good mix. Phaelenopsis orchids don't grow in soil. They like a 50/50 fine bark and Sphagnum moss mix c biweekly liquid fertilizer And finally, as the days grow shorter and cooler, your Phael will start to spike, depending on its age.

You are doing great. chew on these for a while.... Coupons, do you really use them? Years ago, I found that I was not using coupons, nor did I have the mental capacity to deal with them. Everything that I take on requires that I somehow mentally and physically deal with them. The savings were not worth the "trial" to me. I figured I would average less than $50.00 a year. So I gave them up, unless it was something I KNOW I would use them, ie favorite pizza place. Even then, we average one pizza delivery a quarter... It was very liberating not to bother with coupons and all the paper that come with them! Mail. I MAKE myself commit the first time around. Unless the reason is clear why I need it, I toss it. Figure out reasons to throw out, not reasons to keep! For example, I am getting x-mas cards now. If I have the address for the family already and they have not moved, the envelope is in the recycle immediately! The cards will stay until the new year, then they will go to recycle. No need to keep old x-mas cards.

I'd send a card and a note with best wishes to the whole family. I have never sent a graduation announcement nor received one. I have heard from distant friends that Susie or Johnny is graduating, but never a formal announcement. It seems to me that people who know one another KNOW when someone is graduating and send cards or gifts as they wish. If you don't know them or they don't know you well enough to KNOW these things... It just seems odd to me. Would you expect to send or recieve an announcement that someone has been hired for a job or is promoted? (Today, that might be worth announcing! LOL) We get invitations to weddings, confirmations, bar/bas mitzvah's, showers, etc. If I'm invited to *attend* an event concerning someone I KNOW I send a gift whether I attend or not -- because the invitations come from close friends.

Here's my kitchen and dining room, remodeled in 2004. A few months ago, I thought about painting over the red, but I'm so glad I didn't decide to change it! I have red accents in my living room, too, since the rooms open into each other. I've added a red, orange, and brown patterned area rug under the table, and removed the wreath since I took this picture. I also added red valances on the windows on the left of the picture (where I have a window seat).

I googled photos of Senecio, came out as senecio kleiniiformis

Howard, I have another request for you to ID (I think you are expert on cacti) - is this gymnocalycium something?

First 2 photos are as it opened today, maybe it will open up more? I never had any of these cacti, not sure what to expect. Looks like it closes up for the evening too.

Nice gifts, Rina! =) You did good on your hunt!

1. Looks like xPachyveria 'Exotica'
2. As everyone has said, Adromischus cristata
3. As others, Senecio kleiniiformis
4. As landruc said, Crassula 'Moonglow'
5. I'm inclined to say a Cotyledon ~when the buds bloom, we will know for sure. Then, might figure out which species. :)
6. It does look somewhat like an Echeveria 'Perle von Nurnberg' (flattened), but there's an outside chance it's xGraptoveria 'Fred Ives', blooms would confirm which one (not so pointy as I would expect).

#6 also might be an Echeveria gibbiflora metallica.

Aren't you the gifted one! Congrats on the acquisitions - you're moving on up - pretty soon there will be nothing I have that you don't already.

I have to thank to my daughter for getting these for me - and she didn't buy anything I already have (she doesn't know anything about plants -yet?-, she 'collects' animals)

Jeff, I probably have very long way to go before I catch up to you.

Landruc thank you for another tip. I guess i have to wait until it blooms.

Rina, it definitely looks like a Gymno but I an certainly not the expert. Many Gymnos have pink flowers. But it could be:

G. damsii v. rotundulum
