I have some..I think they're Japanese Iris, but I'm not quite sure..They do wonderful in a pond though and have been fertilized for several years by gold fish and koi and nothing else.. These photos are a couple years old now so they've all but taken over the pond now so breaking it up a bit wouldn't hurt my feelings.. Siam you would really do that for me? Wow that would be great. When I have to do the scarifying on some TINY seeds, my fingers just can not hold on that well. WOW thanks Siam. Are Canna seeds fairly big? Last year I really just started to get seriously into gardening. Had a few Canna's growing that I bought at the store. Then some friends here shared tubers with me. So seeds is the next step and pollinating will be fun to try. Cause I sure did not have any seeds. I checked. Thanks also for giving me instructions on how to treat the seeds and grow them. Tom, I got my seeds last week...thanks a million!!! ;o) I was calling some of our local nurseries before I received the seeds to see if anyone had a Wafer Ash & I found a tree locally. When I called, the nurseryman said he thought he had one but it wasn't in very good shape & I could have it for free. I said, "YES, I'd LOVE it!" Not realizing that he was referring to a 25 gallon tree! It is almost 8ft tall & looks like "Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree"!!! IT's HUGE!!! It is alive & he said that it has been in the pot way too long. It had a year on the pot of 2006. It also had a price of $225 marked out to $50...I can't believe he gave it to me!!! What a blessing! I took it home last Thusday thinking I could get it in the ground this weekend & it has now been raining for 4 days straight! Maybe this week some time, I can play "hooky" from my work & I can get it planted...it's supposed to rain next weekend, too! I have a BIG hole to dig...LOL!!!! The 'Box Of Chocolate' seeds I bought, have finally just germinated, over the past 4 days. So I have a few of each of the 5 different varieties of 'BOC' datura plants. 'Purple Lace', 'Purple Confusion', 'E', and 'Purple Specks', and 'Tri-Color' At least they are up and starting to grow. I STILL cant get Double Yellow datura seeds!!! I pay for them, and pay for them, and I keep getting the double purple/white ones. The last pack of seeds i bought, all of 10 seeds, for $3,...i planted them all and after 3 weeks, none came up! I uncovered them and not a root tip in sight. But my 'BOC' ones came up in about 9 days. I told the seller this, and he SAYS he sent me replacement ones,...3 weeks ago...from GA.! I have opened a case against him on EBay, and I STILL dont have the double yellow ones! Cant trust anyone on EBay to send me these double yellow ones. I give up.
