Very pretty.... those elusive etc. flowers are especially fun when they blossom aren't they? :)

My very best red is Veteran’s Honor. I think it might be close to my very best rose of any color, with such huge perfect blooms produced in great abundance. The quality is especially stark in the hot summer months when many roses burn and shrivel while Veterans Honor still looks florist shop perfect. My very best highly fragrant rose is Firefighter. Again , a most generous bloomer, and always saturated with true rose scent: I’ve seen Munstead Wood often at the public garden and understand why others like is so much. I’ll have to try one out. My favorite color of red is Loves Promise. It’s a pure black red that is at the same time soft velvet and bright electric. Alas my plant is young and I don’t have a great pic, but this gives some idea of what it looks like: Interesting that Helen started the thread 8 years ago when she was new to roses and she now probably has a greater collection than Tom Carruth and his Huntington Gardens. So @bayarea_girl_z10a_ca, what is your best red rose?

If it is all ultra modern New York/London/Tokyo hipster kitchen then it will look fine. If it is a standard type kitchen and you are trying to add a little flair it will look rediculous.

We just recently did beauty and the beast on the cheap at our local elementary school. Currently disney has a contract with simplicity and the costume for belle is pretty good but I had trouble finding the beast costume. I ended up just using the turn of the century boys pattern in apropriate colors for beasts outfit. For mrs.potts I got lucky and found and inflatable costume for the Cool-ade guy at a yard sale and simply covered it in fabric to match her "dress". For chip we had a girl who's mom makes piñatas and she did a paper mâché pair of overalls for the actor. We also picked a really small boy to play that part so the costume looked much bigger. I hope this helps I also found a fabric by the pound store about ten miles from my house that made everything cheaper and I bought my patters through ebay and Pinterest. Always remember that Joann's excepts coupons from hancock fabrics, hobby lobby and micheals and you can use four coupons at a time. Good luck and have fun.
