OT: POTD is a before and after of my work yesterday

good morning All

The work is calling in my fingertips. So I keep it short.

In the morning I finished this flowerbed I started to till the day before. Took me hours to get the rocks out with the tiller.

Thank God for the Tiller. Or...thank you DH for finally giving me a tool so I do not have to break my back anymore lol

well the CANNA bed turned into something totally different lol

Now you all just need to come back when it fills in.

With this heat it should not be long before I can post a POTD all in green and blooms...so I hope

P.S. Of course it still needs the rock wall around and who knows what I will do to keep the grass out. But without the wall...It would sit in a lake if we get rain :-(

Lucy, I hope your fur baby gets better quickly! With four kitties of my own, I can certainly relate to how it feels to have a sick baby. One of ours is currently in renal failure, and we have to do fluid injections three times a week. We're very fortunate that one of the vet tech's has volunteered to stop by after work a couple times a week to assist with the IV fluids. I'm reminded of a quote by Will Rogers... "The best doctor in the world is the veterinarian. He can't ask his patients what is the matter-he's got to just know." Don't beat yourself up for not knowing the severity of your kitty's problems. My dog had a 6 lb tumor on her spleen, and we have no idea how long it was there, we chalked her lack of appetite and other symptoms to her getting older. It wasn't until the tumor started to poke down under her rib cage that we noticed the lump. Fortunately it was benign and she's happy and healthy today. I will keep you and Amadeus in my prayers.

yupp I was shooting in the direction of his car lol After I went out this morning I indeed saw that this year some of the blooms do not even have ANY LAVENDER in them. This is a ever changing Dat lol I think it has not made up its mind yet what it wants to be when it grows up roflmao Pam actually I THOUGHT we had enough rain last night...just got in from re potting some seedlings and potting up the Brug cuttings that i had in water a few days and finally got time to put em in dirt lol But I did get a few very nice pictures this morning. Not with raindrops but it looks like the dew is covering the whole flower. Very pretty. Tim you should try them. I love them very much. I do however love the HUGE single white Datura. When you walk out at night and in the morning and they are everywhere...they just GLOW Lucy

Ooooh I do like that one very much. Have you ever ordered from this nursery? Thet have some gorgeous varieties. I stopped wintering tropical hibiscus over in the GH because of whiteflies but might have to start making exceptions. I do hope we don't have such an unseasonably cold winter and spring this year and if I have another 3 day power outage during a stretch of single digit temps I'll know someone is trying to tell me something. lol Here is a link that might be useful: Hidden Valley

Jillbean, - everybody suggests that to me. HOWEVER: There are two good reasons why not to have another puppy and I would always have two, for company. No. 1--- after retiring, I found many distractions for myself. I am lucky to have found many new friends, and I'm gone "celebrating life" almost every day of the week. So the puppies would be home alone a lot. No. 2---- I'm getting up there in age. If I should die before my pets, what would happen to them? Maybe someone would take one, but what about the other? They would be separated, they would be miserable, they would "fly" from one place to the other. - Not a good life. I have my memories. I still cry when I get to talking about my Lucy and Carly. But hey, I got a NEW "upper" in my life now: Brugmansias. And thank the Lord that I found this forum, I cherish being able to connect to all of you. Thank you. Ingrid

Thanks everyone. That wind pane was the reason I needed a flowerbed too. so I could plant climbers lol Now I just hope they all grow.

Kristy no problem. Except it has really been raining! AND cooled down. Is there anything in the GH that needs to be taken care off? I guess I take some old rags to wipe the paws from your fur babies before I let them back in.

Can not wait to see it all grow. But of course there is a lot of work left on finishing them. But my main concern is to find and make places to put everything in the ground. My Husband is already getting nervous lol
