Beginner Butterfly garden for kids

Hi everyone,

Last year we grew parsley & zinnias in our small heirloom garden among peppers & tomatoes & we were so surprised to find caterpillars munching on the parsley. We found out from looking online that they were black swallowtails & soon they went to 'sleep' in their chrysalises & emerged as gorgeous black butterflies! We loved them! The kids (4 kids) enjoyed watching them in the garden. We've moved to a smaller house near the same area & are beginning to dig out some space for our first butterfly & hummingbird garden. It will be small but hopefully do well.

Can anyone suggest flowers that are especially EASY to grow (young kids & don't want them to get discouraged yet with seeds that are harder to germinate or care for) that might attract butterflies, bees, birds & do well in Florida's heat & humidity? Very much appreciated!

Thanks!
