A happy Aloe polyphylla in the Oakland hills

I know that most people struggle to get Aloe polyphylla to grow well, worrying about it getting too hot and frying the roots, or too wet in winter and rotting out the crown. We seem to have "just right" climate here in the cooler/milder parts of the SF Bay Area, and they thrive here. As a result, I use a lot of them in gardens, and why stop at one, when you can have a dozen? Check out the other photos in this set, lots of succulents scattered around the garden, and most seem to resist the plentiful deer...
