Request for Monarch Butterfly Sightings

Hello all Butterfly Garden enthusiasts:

The eastern monarchs are having a difficult migration this year to do the hot, dry conditions they experienced in Texas and the cool, wet conditions in the north. Those migrating in the central flyway through Minnesota and Wisconsin seem to be faring better. The 850,000 students in Canada and the United States following the arrival of spring through first sightings of adult monarch butterflies, eggs and caterpillars, would appreciate your reports. You can post these reports directly to Journey North at: www.learner.org/jnorth, or send them to this writer. I need the date, name of observer, location (closest town, city, park, landmark or lat/long), and details of the sighting (adult, egg, larva; fresh or worn adult; male or female; other details such as what it was nectaring on.

Thank you
