tips for replanting broken large stem- dinnerplate aeonium

ErinMiller

Two weeks ago when my husband was cleaning our balcony, a huge, fabulous aeonium rosette broke off at the bottom of its 10" stem at the top of the soil in its pot! I've stuck it in back in soil several inches deep and staked it, too, but am wondering if I should help it along with any particularly nutrients so it will grow roots and capilaries quickly.

Any suggestions? I just bought 4 of these plants about 3 weeks ago, so I'm still learning. I'm in sunset zone 22 next to the beach.

Thanks!
