How does one post pictures from their PhotoBucket albums WITHOUT the rest of the photo albums made public???

I have noticed ALOT of members posting pictures from PhotoBucket & then when you click on the thumbnail to enlarge the picture, the picture comes up with a link on the top right to the rest of the pictures in the photo album.

How is this avoided?????

Everyone...you do realize that gives EVERYONE access to every picture in the album and the ability to copy it. I just worry especially if there a family pictures that one may want to keep private...

If the PhotoBucket EXPERTS could chirp in, it would be GREATLY appreciated!!

I asked all my family members if it is okay to post their pictures...:)

I am a new gardener and am very proud of my accomplishments :) If they want to steal it..I am honored...I might change my mind in a few years we will see..:) Good subject you brought up..:)

If you go to your main album, you can click (edit) next to the Albums listing on the left side of the page. There you can set albums to be public or private. They are public by default. I only host gardening pictures on my album. I use imageshack for all my other photos. It's more anonymous since it doesn't use your username in the image link.

Hello Greg!!! You are correct it is "Cape Hatteras"...sorry about that...WE here in VB consider it to be so close and us locals call it "Hatteras" also called by locals as "Hatteras Village" it is the most southern point of the Island...the ferry to Ocracoke is nearly yards from where the picture was taken. So if you want to sound "local" LOL...call it Hatteras!!! AKA "HWY 12" It is one of the best places to take a vacation!!! Great Sun, surf and great fishing!!! That trip we caught many Bullnose Dolphin aka as Mahi Mahi...ahhhh makes me hungry thinking about them!!! They also have a great run on Tuna in the early part of the season...as well as White and Blue Marlin Wahoo too! Sorry to get off topic...just thinking about summer and how much i love deep sea fishing!!! How have you been Greg? I was up in your area yesterday (LGA) and had a wonderful time with all of those storms!!! What a day!!! How are all of your palms? I just brought in two of my Ponytails, and my big Agave...almost to close for comfort with the low temps...but they are alll fine. Now everything is inside for the winter...My hubby can't seem to adjust right yet...he seems to think that he's in a jungle!!! LOL...Then once springtime comes around, and I put them all outside...he says that the house looks bare!!! LOL...I really need a greenhouse..."Hope santa is listening" LOL Take care everyone!!! Boy, toolgranny, that's a breathtaking quilt! Kate, what an interesting technique. I do most of my appliqué by starch turning from the right side, over freezer paper (or a plastic template) to the wrong side and then pulling off the paper (template). I'll give this new technique a try as soon as I get my stems stitched down. Thanks for the inspiration. magothyrivergirl, thanks for linking to that interesting object. Not the least what I had imagined but more elegant and, I can see, effective. Isn't the internet a wonder!? Anyone, anywhere can find such an interesting and unusual object. And just maybe this sheds some light on your equally interesting screen name. ;>

Haven't read all of this yet (but will later), but what I wanted to know was the ID of various plants in the front and back yard and any special care information for them, especially the citrus and fruit trees. I did meet with the previous owner, and he was not a lot of help - he could not identify all of the plants, and he could not provide me with instructions for the sprinkler system or the thermostat. Eventually we figured out the sprinkler system controls (or at least DB did), but I'm still not quite sure how they work. We put in a new thermostat when we put in A/C, and the new one is much easier to use. The previous owner told us that we could download instructions manuals for these items, but such was not the case. We took out a bunch of trees that the previous owner had planted, including an ornamental peach and a couple of plum trees that never made more than a dozen plums and were gangly. We kept the Fuji apple tree but got rid of the grape vine - it was only good for leaves, and we put a stone path where it used to be so that I can put orchid cactus in pots there. We received a history of the house from someone (the realtor, I think), and it gave names of all the previous owners, going back to 1950, and also listed when additions were made. The house is now almost twice the size it was when it was first built.

I changed my settings and set it to private and there was a box I found under my profile and I clicked that to keep it from linking the image I posted to my album but I noticed I can't do the clickable image if don't manually copy it or that feature doesn't work. If you just click on it and it says copy they can still see you album. I don't keep anything on there that I don't want seen so I don't really care but I'm sure others might. If I had pics I didn't want to be seen I would store them seperately.

Simply post the 'HTML code' link after you have made you album private. That shows the image but outside of your album with no ability to move around in the album.
It will not show in thumbnails however.
