Prince Albert and his wife stopped by to visit for a few minutes. It was very nice to meet them both. Turns out he lives right by the lake so we will have to stop by and return the visit when we get back from our trip. I am anxious to see his temporary structure he builds every year over his inground brugs. He has some blooming outside already. That would be so great to not have to haul them in and out and be able to take down the structure and reuse it every winter. Sorry we couldn't have visited longer but maybe next time we won't both have so much to do, lol. Don't forget to visit the fishing forum so we can introduce you to all the fishing folks in your area too. Gotta get back outside. See you all later.

Gee I am jealous of all you Texans.....to be such a big state you all seem to be so close to each other!!!! Glad you got to meet another brug friend!!!

I hope this doesn't sound offensive but I thought this was some sort of joke because of the thread title. I didn't realize there was a forum member with that name. It's fun to finally meet online friends.

Thanks for the vote of confidence, BB. Yes, we're living in the house and so glad to be out of the hotel. Construction is not finished but getting closer every week. We're down to punch list items, the chimney, replacing one window, some cable/TV wires... DH is going to schedule pick-up of the POD for mid-next week. Hurray! I thought the POD was going to be a permanent part of our new landscaping! :) Gosh, it would have helped if the boxes would have been labeled but I know the restoration company just didn't have time. Overall, we are just so lucky. We were in the refugee hotel for just under three months - there are still people there. I just ordered the pillow. It's expensive, IMO, and that also played a role in my uncertainty but I can always return it. Eighty percent of our replacement interior stuff has been from online purchases 'cause there are no stores near us. Returns get expensive when you're buying so much all at once. Trying not to make too many mistakes. Etsy is my friend. :) /tricia

WOW! That is horrible! The comments from others at the site are funny and quickly go awry; but this first one was cute - "Dazzle camouflage in its civilian setting." "Edit for more info: Dazzle camo aimed to confuse the observer as to ship type, heading, and speed - all crucial when you're a submarine trying to figure out where to shoot your unguided torpedo so it'll hit the target minutes later. However, dazzle schemes, due to their need for highly contrasting colours, are almost always contradictory to the desire for concealment - i.e. blending with the background. This particular scheme was an ad-hoc application that actually had some use in resolving this dilemma, though discovered only after it was applied. Basically, alternating black and white stripes would blend together into a low-visibility grey colour at long ranges, making them difficult to spot at long range. As the ship gets closer, however, the stripes resolve themselves, providing that confusion factor. Thus, it was a scheme that had the best of both worlds. In theory, you could even mathematically determine the ratio of black and white so that you know the distance at which they blend into grey, making them useful for different conditions. I would say my style is traditional/transitional. I like beachy and rustic as well. I don’t want a gray or beige rug because I feel like a rug is one way to start to add in some color. I think the photoshopped picture with the rug in the room is great and shows how adding something like that can enhance the room and add color. I was planning on changing out the couch pillows for navy and so,etching else. I like the coralL! I do stripes but am not sure if that rug may be too much? Prior to renovating this room (along with the connecting kitchen) everything was dark wood. Dark wood walls and kitchen cabinets. So I am enjoying the lightness now but don’t want totally monochromatic. Not sure If that makes any sense or is helpful

Where is the fishing forum? Is it a GW forum? I tried looking for one but only saw one called fish and game, and it looked like most of the posts there were old lol.

Its www.texasfishingforum.com not associated with garden web. There is a group that posts on there who all live or fish Belton Lake. I almost titled the thread I let Prince Albert out of the can, lol. He said something about that in his original post. Guess he had to hear a lot of corny jokes growing up. Mary I remember the is your fridge running joke too, lol. It was a last minute visit so I could give him a couple of cuttings for his wife since I didn't go to the lake this weekend and we will be out of town next week. He brought me an orchid tree in trade. How cool is that. It goes to sleep at night and the leaves fold shut. I was outside with the flashlight last night checking it out, lol.

I potted the confederate rose last night and put the brugs in water to root. The wife forgot the name of the cuttings that John gave her. I didn't hear it, tell us again please. One is in water and the other got put in a pot today. I really enjoyed the visit.
My white noids are beginning to open today. I still see lots of babies on it. I will wait until fall to cut it and the yellow one back you will get to see them when you get back. I see rosepedal got a dig in at me in the post about the turtle.

Lol, she meant no harm. The cutting John gave you are plumeria. If thats what you put in water get it out right away. They need to be left to dry for several days then potted up in potting soil. Water once and put in the warmest spot you can find with bottom heat and don't water again until its bone dry and just a tiny bit then until it gets roots. There is a web site called plumeria 101 you can go to and read about them. I love the orchid tree. Its really cool. Thank you again.

I don't get hurt feelings easily. It reminded me of the kids in Korea naming my buddy and I after animals. I have no idea why those names were chosen. We even answered to those names. That was way back in 1969.
