I'm having the problem, but I'm using Firefox - it's the same message as Howard's getting. Eventually it will listen to the 'Stop script...' selection and let me into the post.

It's a common problem with Firefox. I get it quite often and just click on stop script. I've use Firefox since it started and I've notice that each upgrade has more and more bugs in it and it is also a lot slower than it used to be. SeaMonkey is a lot faster.

I had to add each forum that I want to view to get the scripts to stop, but it works.

I have to ask, since you're using Firefox, have you installed the add-on extension called Adblock plus 2.0.3?

Well now I'm using Chrome because it is the only one through which I can log onto this site. I installed the add-on that Nancy suggested and while it allowed me to view the threads, it prevented me from logging on and after deleting it, I still couldn't log on using FireFox. I have not installed a program called Adblock Plus. I wish I was smarter about this stuff! Thanks to all for your assistance....

No, because my YouTube vids and others play now that I've removed Adblock plus - before they weren't even showing up.

Now I can read all the posts using Firefox but can't log in with that browser on my large laptop but can on my small laptop. This must mean, even for someone as computer compromised and brain dead as me, that there is something on my big machine that is rotten! Both Chrome and IE have me logged in automatically. While I don't mind using another web browser to enjoy everyone on this forum, it is frustrating for me not knowing why. Why couldn't I be a dog like an Irish Setter? Then I wouldn't care as long as I had a nice warm home and food and got to go to the park and run around!

I'm now viewing GW through Internet Explorer and have no script issues - whatever they're using in The Big House, Firefox doesn't adapt well to it.

In the GW "Suggestions?" forum, Tamara, the GW Comm Mgr, has posted a thread...see linked below...with some work-arounds you should be able to use, regarding these script errors. I'm not having a problem, so I don't know if they work. HTH

Jeff, I'm also using Firefox & have Adblock plus...and all YouTube vids work for me. Occasionally, I'll get one that goes to green screen.

I'm not savvy enough to understand any of this. All I know is GW used to work with Firefox for me and now it doesn't and I won't get my nose out of joint trying to figure it out. GW works just fine with Google Chrome and IE so I will join all of you on Google Chrome.

Weird things happening on my puter, today. Now, that thread about Script Errors is missing? My computer just shut down on me without notice. Now that I'm back, it's telling me (GW) can't find that message I linked to above. Did anyone get to see it?

At the top of the forum you'll notice a message saying the script errors are fixed, so that is why the old message is gone.

FWIW, I've been using Firefox and haven't had any issues, but I also use an add-on called NoScript which prevents scripts from running unless I allow them.

Rosemarie it's still visible for me. And, no, I couldn't get the GIF to work.... I'm just happy I can use this website in a more normal way.

Guys, I thought it was just me. I had to double click and them click disable script running. Then all is well. Glad they fixed the problem. also that annoying add in the middle of the posts is now missing. Good!

Yes, no space 6 posts down anymore, where the ad used to be. I could see it on my iPhone but not on KindleFire.

Maybe it was those new adds that were causing the script errors?

RoMa, I wouldn't recommend the NoScript add-on to everyone. LOTS of websites require JavaScript to operate correctly, and NoScript will prevent that until you manually allow all the necessary scripts. It can be a pain for those that just want simple web browsing.
