I found that P. nothorauschii might be a synonym for P. fusca. Is this the case? They look the same to me, just want to be sure before I go labeling it one if it's the other. All the renames make this confusing!

Be careful with that white sap - it's highly, highly toxic. You have a euphorbia.

Water only when you feel it give a little if you very gently press it (I don't water on schedule). I have mine growing in pumice, too, so you can just imagine how dry that is. I've lost one before---a young one that literally burst from over-watering and that kind of mistake collapses the blob over a period of hours, not days. So when you feel it is turgid, leave it alone. I have mine in dappled shade most of the day and it gets only about an hour of direct sun in late summer afternoons. I also just got a pumice pot for it. I use these for succulents and cacti that scare me lol (like cintias, arios, some euphorbias and this one).
