Looking for some Datura seed

Morning all,

I would love to buy some Dat seed if anyone has any extra. I already have Double purple seed, and a pack of seed labeled Metel. I am looking to get 3 or 4 more colors. Singles, Doubles, or whatever I am not really picky.

I know there are lots of different ones, I have most of the ones that are common to all of us. Seems like a few years back I saw one called 'blue halo'... I think that was the name ?? Also I think someone on here had one that was white and had a little yellow in it ? I could be wrong. Maybe it was Karma ? I don't know... it's been a while, and I'm forgetful.. LOL Also while I'm thinking about it, what ever came of the ones Karma was working on ? Remember the Datmansia ? I just remembered that... why I don't know.

Thanks, karyn1. My friend with the triple purples just called. We have a hard freeze coming tomorrow night. His are loaded with pods too. His, as most of mine, are still green and have been on the plant "forever", his words. Should we just cut off all the pods tomorrow no matter what age? How will we know if they are far along enough to successfully ripen inside? BTW.. Some of my first blooms on my potted triple yellow produced pods that ripened extremely fast on the plant in late spring. Thanks, so much for info. Alice, geekgranny

Judy, where do you live? I have alot of these plants coming up in my flowerbeds. They are are double/triple purple. My husband killed the ones in the grass , but I still have quite afew in the beds. I can't bring myself to pull them out. I do not want to mail, must pick up. I also have about 1 lb of seeds, from all 4 of my plants, they did not freeze this year, and bloomed all thru the winter, I have my plants in Rockport. I live in San Antonio, so if you are close please email me. I agree its too late to plant seeds, they take forever to come up. Barbra,

Have both single white datura (wrightii) and violet single (metel) datura to trade for your violet double colored datura. Just LMK how many seeds of each you need.

I'd like to get my hands on that single violet, if you're willing to make another trade. I've got double yellow metel, inoxia, and whatever else you see on my exchange list.

If you haven't been offered any double yellow yet, I've got plenty to go around. Well, that's a bit of an exaggeration (until they come back this year, hopefully), but I have enough to do a few trades.
