Full StoryI raise a lot from other sources but two years ago I put in a A. macrophylla and today there were eggs! I am counting these as my first official homegrown pipevine eggs. Technically a female tried to lay when the vine was still on a pot on my patio but I shooed her away. I hate to jinx it but this seems to be shaping up to be a good year. I have seen several pipevine swallowtail in my yard and tons of red admirals. Last year I think I saw one red admiral all year. Now I don't know what I am going to feed them as I have a bunch of 4th stars from the arboretum. I hope the vine takes off here soon!
