Did you get any wind damage yesterday or the day before?
It blew like crazy here in Belton. My plants fared well.
I moved all the seedlings and small plants into the GH in anticipation of the cold.
Did kristy's plants do ok? I hope the cold don't get any of them. I know she was moving them outside.

princealbert some tree branches looked like they were hugging the ground but as far as I could see no damage. Going outside in a little while and make the shed winterproof again and haul most in before it gets to cold. Then go over to Kristy's and take care of her plants and close the GH up. I do not think it will get to hot today were it heats the GH up to much or? Well she has the fan set lower anyways.

That really sucks :-( Glad your plants are all safe also.

Kylie, your plants should be OK...the watering tip is a good one!! I use it all the time when I am trying to gamble with low nightime temps. According to our evening news today, on Saturday the state high temperatures are going to range from 95 in Laredo to 21 in Amarillo with a possibility of 16 inches of snow!!!! It's kinda like your signature quote...

Ayways, on Saturday morning, I plan on watering everything. I have bananas in ground and in pots that are growing---I'm not worried! Do you have any old sheets you could throw on your plants if you see it's going to be a bit colder? I always pick them up at garages sales for the cause...

Shoot...I thought it was Spring and these cool fronts were behind us!! I've been in shorts this past week or two!!! Our pool water is 74 degrees! All our trees have bloomed out and their leaves are on...Oh well...

AND Then the WIND... AGAIN.. It is back up and blowing.. I have been moving things in again...LOL BUT I am sure the effort will be worth it in the end... So many have already put on buds soooo... in they come... The Banana's have to come in! So I will catch up with ya'll later.. Back to work!!!

I am sorry you are having to drag things in and out. I am sick of the games the weather is playing here too...one week warm, cold the next. Now possible snow rain mix on sunday night.
Lucy.....I saw on another post that I can't find that you said Volkie is not listed anymore.....it still is, LMK if you need a link. IDK how much you want to send but right now it is $33 and still a few days left. The last one went for around $50 so I would say it will probably end up around there.

Hey Texans, what's the forecast for Sunday/Monday? My daughter and son-in-law are driving down to the port to catch a cruise for their honeymoon. It would be a pity if the weather wouldn't cooperate.

I hope your plants are alright. I'm finally enjoying warm weather. I don't want to go back home until it warms up there.

On a sad note....I picked out a aprox. 1/4 of a inch ice plate from my birdbath. :-( It is blowing a icecold wind. Went over to Kristy's and only opened the GH doors. After noon I will go check on the rest and tonight I will haul all her brugs back in there. Cause tonight is suppose to be the colder one of the 2 nights. So I do not trust the weatherman.

How is the bad part of TX? I sure hope everyone is safe!

It was 30* when I got up this morning.. So I am very happy I pulled it all in..Pull it all back out tomorrow...LOL

Man, just leave it open. No need to go over there so many times a day. You are going to be worn out. I only close it if it gets in the 30's. More important to not leave it shut. It can get really hot in there if the sun is out at all. Even on cool days it gets up to about 80 by noon.

I do, I do lol Ok on cool days I go over there and sit in IT and safe on heating MY house roflmao
