Good morning and TGIF

I remember my first time I came to the states and everyone tried to teach me how to say THAT. All that came out was Dat

Well I am finally gave up and here I am still hung up on Dat

Now this time I had no time to photoshop all the holes away. Anyways, those are the facts and proof of gardening that we have to take the bad things along with the good.

Dang it is to early. Can not count. Of course we are on 64 today lol.

Been up since 3 am so maybe if I share my coffee with you and by the time we are done, we all will feel GREAT lol

Of course I do know that we got Tea drinkers here so I will make you your favorite cup to come and join in of course.

Barb this is a feeling I believe we all share and have in common who come here. Shawn you make me roflmao. I know I should OT my POTD if they are not brug related ha ha ha but I figured by now everyone knows it could be ANYTHING . Love the way you think lol If it has another name, I had to label this one too so I would not forget so either Rigo can answer it of someone else...Karyn are you around? ;-) Kylie you do know once we are UNDER 50 things look up REAL GOOD! ha ha ha I should know cause when I hit 50 everything went sour roflmao Kylie one more thing. There is really NO WAY one can love any specific plant that was shared. We love and treasure them ALL. I am sure. But got to start somewhere. Ok, I pooped out much too quickly and wasn't getting anything done and the sod cookie mystery got me so here is what I think happened. They didn't have self rising flour back then so could it be soda and they forgot to write the a ? I found this recipe but doubt its the same as yours but the only one that had anything like sod in it, lol. It does say on most they can be made up to a month early and are better with age as Lucy said. I ate nearly my whole bag of candy and the orange last night, lol. Thanks again. Here is the recipe I found. Sounds yummy. 8 ounces candied citron 4 ounces candied orange peel 4 cups sifted all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon 1 tablespoon ground cardamom 1 teaspoon ground cloves 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg 1 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper 1 teaspoon aniseeds 5 eggs, separated 2 tablespoons butter (at room temperature) 1 1/2 teaspoons grated lemon peel 2 1/2 cups granulated sugar 1 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar 2 to 3 tablespoons milk Additional confectionersÂ sugar Coarsely grind citron and orange peel with grinder fitted with coarse blade; set aside. Sift flour with cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, nutmeg, baking soda and pepper. sprinkle anise seeds over flour mixture. Set aside. In large mixing bowl with electric mixer at medium speed, beat egg yolks with butter and lemon peel until smooth. Reduce speed to low and beat in granulated sugar. Set aside. Beat egg whites in clean mixer bowl with electric mixer or by hand until stiff peaks form. On low speed of electric mixer, gently fold reserved egg yolk mixture into beaten egg whites. Blend in reserved flour mixture, using your hands. Blend in reserved coarsely ground candied citron and orange peel. Shape dough into balls the size of a small walnut; place balls, 1 inch apart, on ungreased baking sheets. Let stand, uncovered, 8 hours, or overnight. Bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 15 minutes or until double in size and lightly browned. Remove from baking sheets and let cool to room temperature. Mix confectioners' sugar with enough milk to form thin glaze; drizzle glaze over cookies. If desired, after glaze has hardened, shake cookies gently in paper bag containing additional confectioners sugar.

As the front page on NOLA.com says.. WHO DAT? NOBODY! lol.. we cried so much during the game every time something emotional happened. Christy and her sister kept calling back and forth until the game was over, then the phones were so jammed it took an hour before she could call us again. Christy's Mama was very excited and we all wished Christy's Daddy and his brother Earl could have been alive to see it. Awesome night! The cat kept freaking out when Christy would yell and she'd go skittering off her lap..lol. Our dog just looked at us, wondering. When the game was done Christy's sister and brother and their kids all went in their truck and joined all the other vehicles in an impromptu parade. Even the firetrucks were out in the parade running their sirens. Of course there were plenty of fireworks going too, they said it sounded like New Years! Ahhh... the Saints won... so happy.

Not as good a deal as they make it out to be, but a good deal. I mean really, $625 regular price?! I put two in my kitchen remodel two years ago. The one at my main sink died about 14 months after installation. The motor worked but one of the bolts that held the grinding plates in place sheared off and chewed up the interior. Insinkerator was great about handling it. Sent out a repairman pretty promptly and, based on my description of what happened, brought out a replacement GD so it was replaced same day. The tech that replaced it said he'd seen a problem like it before. The other one has been problem free as has the replacement.

O she's pretty!! I can almost smell her!
SPring is soooo close, it even smells like Spring outside.
I took the dogs out this morn and you wouldnt believe how many BlueJays were in my yard all vying for the affections of one female. They were trying to hop around on the ice of the pond slip sliding everywhere, lol. The poor cardinals that have a nest in my wild roses were just hiding and peeking, lol. I always have a lot of Blue Jays in my yard, but I just cant get over how many were out there this morning.
All those Blue Jays and other birds making all that racket..I LOVE it!
O, and this morning I woke up to lovely pics of ANdrew's Gold on the calendar :) Thank you Lucy for all the beautiful pix you share with us..I love my calendar!! thank you, again!!

What a Beautiful Dat!! I didn't get to grown any last yr.. But the Cows seemed to enjoy them...LOL I have just started some seed and hope to have blooms as Beautiful as yours come Summer!!

Love yellow dats. You know what's funny Lucy, is in our area, you can get away with saying dat because most people know what you mean. lol
I have some yellow dat seeds that I need to get started so I can have some of those beauties in my yard. Aren't they happy looking plants?

Deb dat is funny. YES I must say I love Datura too.

Kylie tell your cows this year they are not to eat your plants! With the weather being so warm, All the dats I had in the ground last year have come back and boy are they ever growing fast. No sign of life in the ones from the pots yet. Hope you will have lots of pretty Dats this year.

Daniella that must have been some beautiful sight. I love blue jays. For some reason there are not that many around here anymore. Then I do enjoy the cardinals a lot more. They sing so beautiful.

lol I wonder if we could read a whole sentence or paragraph made up with slang words? I mean we can read those misspelled words were only the 1st and last letter has to be right in order for your brain to read it.
