Hi all!

With the gorgeous weather here in the Phoenix area lately, I just couldn't resist visiting a couple of nurseries and planning for my spring planting!

I was particularly interested in small species of Agaves for some new garden areas in my yard with limited space.

I was very successful and got some species I haven't had before - as well as a couple of extras that I was also on the lookout for.

I obtained the following Agaves:

Agave utahensis var. nevadensis

Agave multifilifera

Agave ocahui

Agave stricta 'nana' (beautiful specimen!)

Additionally I picked up a very unusual species of Yucca I just couldn't pass up:

Yucca endlichiana

And also found a nice specimen of Fouquieria formosa about the same size as my existing plant; my goal is to have at least two unrelated plants of each Fouquieria spp so that when I get blooms, I have a good chance at getting seeds too!

GREAT day to be out and about - especially when I can nab such great plants!

As soon as I get these goodies planted in my yard this week, I will post some pics.

Yeah for an 'early spring'! = )

Just had to share!

Cheers,

Tristan
