Anyone WS Arum Italicum?

Just got some - I'd like to WS it. Instructions say essentially to WS, keep for entire summer, and watch for germination in late fall, November or December. If that happens, won't I have to keep it inside over the winter? That seems awfully late to me. Should I try sowing in place as soon as the ground is workable (usually March here) instead? Or do you think that would be too late?

Thanks in advance,

Kim, who keeps promising herself she's not going to do any of this fussy stuff anymore...
