About me: 2006
2005
I am new to Garden Web, but not to gardening. I run through phases and my new one is annuals and continuous blooming bulbs like dahlias.
My husband and I have Turf Wars and I recently won an area that must be planted out next spring. As soon as I won it, I covered it with cardboard, manure and nearly finished compost to kill the grass right away before he could have second thoughts.
What he doesn’t know is that it’s kind of a 2 for 1 for me -- the area is where the wintersowing jugs will go. YIKES! Not sure this will go over well with him or not. I suspect not, but he can surprise me.
This wintersowing better work because I have gotten rid of 90% of my perennials to plant the new annual obsession. At $15.00 a flat, even if I am only partly successful, it will be ok.
I love my seeds. I love pawing through them and organizing them. I love the little box they’re in with the little dividers I made. I really love them all!

Commented: seedling ID It looks like a lot of weeds I pulled out of the ground today. Maybe somebody has an alternate idea, like poppies. If they are stickery when you run your hand along the edges of the smallest leaves, t...
