My first Mealy :(

Blech

I found a mealy on one of my office plants. I wasn't sure what it was at first, but I suspected and when I found it moved to a different part of a plant I freaked. My problem is that I don't have all of the proper tools available to get rid of it. I impaled it with a plastic fork but then it fell into the pot and of course, it has a lot of perlite so I'll never find it. Anyway, this is what I have right now:

I do have a spray bottle

I have dish soap but not Ivory. It's the cheap Ajax stuff.

Spray hand sanitizer (62% ethyl alcohol, the rest water and other stuff)

Are any of the above acceptable substitutes? I really am afraid it is going to spread. I'm so sad :(
