These low-maintenance plants can add beauty, texture and privacy to any size garden
Full StoryLooking back, there were a lot of great winter sown performers in the gardens this year and picking out one or just a couple is always difficult as we all know.
For perennials, I do have to give top honours to Asclepias Incarnata - Butterfly Weed Cinderella. All plants performed really well and kept up with all the butterflies, especially the munching Monarchs.

For biennials, it was a toss-up between Foxgloves and Dame's Rocket (Hesperis?). I chose DR because it was somewhat new to me. It's the white one in the photo for those who've not seen it before. It also has a wonderful scent!! The plant you see is just one footing.

For annuals, it would have to be the Cosmos which I introduced to the gardens this past year courtesy of many GWers. They will be in the gardens from now on! :O) Unfortunately I cannot find any photos of mine at this time.
