The following shows photos of the same neo taken over a period of 7 or 8 months. the same loss of colour or greening was happening to about half my plants.
At first I blamed the loss of colour on lack of sunlight as a gum tree was shading my shadehouse for several hours of the day. So the gum had to go.
During the past few months most of the affected neos have started to colour again.
Recently I enquired about suitable fertilizers for neos on this forum and several members warned me about osmocote which tended to dump its chemicals in warmer weather. Now as I had been using osmocote on my pups and the loss of colour did happen during the summer months I brilliantly deduced that the fertilizer was too blame and not the poor gum tree, may he/she rest in peace.
OK experts, I have provided you with photographic evidence - do I mourn the loss of an innocent gum tree and sentence osmocote to the garbage bin or not?
