I Tried Hard To Save Them

Hello All: Feeling bad because the last of my Butterfly cuttings had to be tossed this a.m. They each turned to mush (from bottom up). I changed the water (bottled) every day; isolated each cutting in a sep. container;kept cutting back to "good" tissue; added small amts. of: hydro. Peroxcide; Vit. B1; all to no avail. I know this is something we all have to accept, but these cuttings that "lived" in the kitchen (to escape our unseasonally cold snap) seemed to have become so much a part of the family. I am having the same problem with Rosamond ... Down to the last cutting on her. Everyone else is doing fine... leaves sprouting, roots growing. However, Sunray is not putting out white nubbies altho cuttings are green and firm. On the other hand, Cypress Gardens have been full of nubies for a month, but with no roots. Will these survive and grow? Please forgive lengthy thread, but I'm feeling unsure of how I'm taking care of these cuttings. TIA for any advice/tips. Gloria
