Don't be fooled

There are unscrupulous E-Bayer's who are selling normal everyday Spanish Moss (Tillandsia usneoides) as a newly discovered, green flowering form. They also state that this is a hybrid. I wrote the fellow a nice letter asking him what the parents were if this was a "hybrid" and why he considers it so rare. Due to the sensitive nature of our viewer's ears, I can't publish their reply! Many folks selling Tillandsias who don't have a clue as to the name or lineage will often refer to the plant as a "hybrid". This is a cop-out. Be fore-warned and make sure you ask questions, especially when it pertains to un-named "hybrids".
