Agave in a wet climate

I have a home near Hilo on the Big Island of Hawaii. The area gets about 125 inches of rain a year pretty evenly spread out between January and December. We have a problem with wild boar coming on to the property and are wondering if there is any type of Agave that could survive in this kind of climate. We're thinking that if we were able to plant the Agave close enough together, the thorns would help keep the boars at bay.
