Nice to have friends. Below is some of the plants given me. It was like Christmass all over again.

How nice! I have gotten several plants from wonderful friends. I think I enjoy getting plants from friends more than I do buying, it is so special that way. :O)

The blisters are appearing in exactly and only in the areas where I brushed up against the plant. I felt the quick little sting when I brushed up against it at the time (similar to brushing up against a thistle or rosebush - like small, innocuous scratches), which only developed into blisters the next day. I have no known allergies (plant, food, latex, etc). Though maybe I have a special sensitivity to whatever this plant is! Thanks for the help!! :)

Lunaria annua aka 'Money Plant'. Yes, the flowers are early, profuse, & very pretty. They are biennial. Do NOT prune it down if you want more plants. Leave the seed pods to ripen. In my zone, it takes until the end of July for them to shed their outer skins & reveal the silvery disks that earned them their common name. Now, you'll have a decision to make. You can either cut the stems when the seeds are ripe & rub the papery outer skins off somewhere like inside your garage where you can control air movement, etc. Or, you can let nature disperse them. Either way though, you'll have Money Plant everywhere come next spring & for eternity. The plants that bloomed this year will die now that they have bloomed. The seedlings will sprout late this fall or during the winter (even under snow). Those seedlings will do nothing but grow next season & bloom the following year...in 2010. In order to have them every year, you need to plant two years in a row...biennial. Your neighbors will also now have lunaria to enjoy. They are easy seedlings to spot come spring & also easy to yank. I wouldn't be without them but it's a lot of work keeping up with those silly plants. /tricia

Many different Cacti were used in making some of the Epiphyllum hybrids, even some terrestrial cacti were used in order to get certain colored flowers. Some epies are not flat by nature, not all are. I have some epies with both flat and tri-winged stems on the same plant. Some hybrids have up to six or seven. It all depends upon what parentage was used in getting the hybrid. Your plant probably has Hylocereus in the ancestry.

Tuberose! That's it! Now I can tell the folks who work there what it is - I'm sure there will be drivers asking about it (it's so unusual!) I should have clarified earlier that the folks at the truckstop are willing to take "starts" that could be stuck in one of the pots with the other plants. Anything that you think could live in a pot over the winter. The "hut" is the one marked "idleaire" over in the far end of the parking lot.

Stush ~ Those are amazing! I love the quadricolor and ghost as well! You deserve to be rewarded because you are so nice to others! I only hope that one day, when my collection is better, that I have some to offer to others myself. So many people on this forum have been so kind to me and I cannot wait to be able to return the favor!

Your friend knows what things you enjoy and care about and gave you those things to make you happy. That's a real friend! I've never seen "ghost" before. Would love to see a photo when it's in a pot with leaves!

Thanks all, You know I will share them if I am lucky enough to multiply them. I was told that the Quadricolor Agave pups like mad. Hope so. I will let all know.
Pennyhal, White Ghost is a Euphorbia lactea. I never really noticed leaves on it. If so they are very small. They are like our American cactus only from Africa.
