Lady Jane & some misc. pix

Here's my Lady Jane or at least that what

it is labeled. I know you guys will positively

ID it. The color is so hard to capture. the

first pix are untouched. They are so dull and

no where vibrant enough. The last pix are

edited to represent closer to the true color.

It's a beautiful Flamingo pink color with some

red stripes radiating from the green center.

The color still not quite right in the second

set of pix but closer to real color.

threas, how long did it take for your TC to root in water? I am trying to root them in soil/vermiculite without too much success. Did you do anything special?

Hi Beverly. I didn't do anything special, just plunked it in plain tap water in a clear glass spice jar. The little neck makes it perfect. I had roots within 3 days. The ones in the pix are about 2-3 wks. The ones you have in soil/vermiculite will just take longer. Keeping the soil on the dry side, misting once in awhile and bagging the cuttings might help. Good luck.

I have no idea what the variety is but it's a beauty. I told DH to bring home a few amaryllis. He doesn't have anything fancy but I like all of them. The plumeria will probably take another 3 or so weeks to open. Keep it warm and under bright lights. All of mine are now in storage and I am storing 15 of them bare root for the first time. I hope I don't kill them but I had 30 and they were taking up too much space. If they could be kept at the same temp as the dormant brugs it wouldn't be a problem but they'll suffer tip damage or worse if kept too cold so they are taking up growing space. Is that an I. australe?

Ann, you are going to love Nell Dean. I have had her several years and she still stuns me! I posted SDC for you so you could see a multiple bloom. She is lovely... Rita, Laura Harwood would be lovely in your beds. I know you can't tell in the photo's but she has a very large bloom. The contrast with the eye is a stunner in the garden..WC has been blooming for some time now and I don't know where I put the other pics. Chris, they are doing excellent. I hope the Alabama exports fare as well. I will be waiting for the photos.. njmomma, I am pleased you are enjoying them.. Jane, Play Misty for Me has been a hard one to get a photo of. My fault because she opens late and I take the pictures early in the morning while I groom the plants. She is supposed to have a wire edge but it is barely there. I love the colors on ER.. Thanks ladies, it was a lot of work, but I love to decorate so it seems less like work and more like creating, LOL. The lady who asked me to "help" and I decided on the color scheme and she said she wanted BIG letters for the stage and I had just saved the large pieces of cardboard because I knew I would use them for something and within a couple of days this turned out to be the something! She was quite excited when she saw them at the church and said it was just what she had in mind. I was so thrilled when I found the bisque snowman as he had a coat, scarf and stocking cap just like the plates! All I had to do was mimic what was on the plates. What are the odds? Divine intervention for sure! Fun, yes I freeze them as they pop out better than if I just refrigerate them. I also have some bunny molds that I use for Easter and some flower molds for summer. Hi Frank, yes that is hydroton. I seem to be doing really well with it. I've been converting alot of my houseplants. Plus, cuttings rooted in water can go right into the hydroton.
