I still have lots of rooted Jade cuttings if anyone wants them for postage. I'll also throw in a cutting of 'Skinny Fingers' and Moonstones (Pachyphytum oviferum...) Hate to see them go into the trash... E-mail me through this site.

I have had no winter kill on: Prairie Youth 7'high Prairie Peace 5'high Therese Bugnet 5' Louis Riel 4' Dr Merkeley 2-1/2' Fru Dagmar Hastrop 4' Dart's Dash 3' Even Dr. Merkeley had a couple of canes sticking 2'out of the snow with no problems. All but Dr. M. & Dart's dash are in bud and it is fun trying to guess which will be first to bloom while my neighbours roses that died back to the ground even with lots of protection are just beginning to grow. Tom; Most of these hardy roses if grown on their own roots will sucker and become rather unruly. The 2 rugosas I have are in a perennial bed and therefore not on their own roots and after 4 winters have had no died back and are nice tidy, mannerly shrubs.

I have everything but the chocolate chips. I'll go out and get them tomorrow and give it a try.... It sounds like a fun thing to do with Sophie and Benjamin, and if it's chocolate they'll like it - rubbery or not. :) I'll let you know how it turns out.

Outlook email program used to be attached to whatever version of Windows you had...in other words, if you had a problem with outlook you could not uninstall it. You could not uninstall it without uninstalling Windows as well. Course, it was outlook express not outlook... outlook was the program used professionally, in the workplace.... I'd guess in your companies intranet. eta: Windows no longer comes with an email client/app. Out of all the email programs out there, I prefer outlook....it's clean, it's not full of ads, targeted or otherwise, or junk. Click on the MENU icon and COMPARE from the dropdown and it will list everything it does and does not do. Oh, all this can be synced across platforms/devices... your phone, tablet, pc etc Office and all those other apps/programs come with outlook.com. When you open your email, at the top is a task bar and all the way over to the left just beside where it says outlook.com you'll see the Windows icon of 9 window panes.... if you click on it you'll see all those programs listed, plus OneNote, Sway (which is new and getting good reviews... lets you do slideshows very easily and other things) anyway, here is a link to the outlook.com page where you'll see an approximation of the listed programs I see in my email box....I don't know why they are different... the one at outlook.com lists skype, my inbox taskbar does not, and mine lists sway and that one doesn't. Mine are listed, in order, from left to right top row Outlook.com People (which is your address book and this is also where you access Skype) Calendar OneDrive (Windows version of Drop Box, synced to all other programs listed) Word Online All these are synced and can be shared bottom row Excel Online PowerPoint Online OneNote Online Sway Office Online eta: when I open Windows I sign in to my microsoft account....this is how these things are all synced..it is password protected, you can also use a pin....if I'm remembering correctly, you need to do this PW or PIN to sync all your microsoft/windows apps/programs... When I recently upgraded to Windows 10 this stuff (my MS account and settings) was already set up as a default because that's how it was when i was using Windows 8.1 Outlook

If you look at the topographical map, you will see that the back yard is completely covered with trees. To put in a pool, you would have to remove all trees, and I believe that since the yard slopes down to the river, it would not be stable enough to support a pool.

Although I don't need any more Jade, I always like to encourage acts of largesse at this Forum!

So, how far back did you whack the 'Skinny'?

I can't thank you enough. Very healthy plants. Also I want to thank you for taking a time and writing to me about caring for them. Your "Skinny Fingers" looks awesome. I'll try to do everything you wrote, but I'm sure I'll never be able to achieve that look. You have something special.

Inna & Bernard - glad you got them in good shape and that you likey what you see! They look so wonderful after a summer outside... I can't really take the credit. It's mother sunshine that makes them look so awsome!

They're predicting 26 tomorrow night, so any last minute "takers" need to e-mail or answer here so I can pull them inside... That's pretty darned cold!

Amazingly, I cleaned off my back deck a few days ago and found a Sansevieria pearsonii that I had forgotten was there. We've had a couple of nights that dipped below freezing, so I was stunned to find it in fine condition, bone dry. I'm sure it's the "bone dry" that saved it! But knowing how very cold sensitive Sans are, I was still in awe...

Jeff, you know, dude, that you are my inspiration for sharing! I can't even tell you all how many starts I got from Jeff in the early years of being on line. Of course, those of you that were around back then know...
