Congrats Cali! I have three of my noid brugs planted in the ground and they stay there year-around. Of course, your weather might be colder than ours here in So. California.

Yesterday I was bored and went to WorldWide Exotics and bought six plants, two of which are in 5-gal. containers: a double white brug (with blooms and heavenly fragrance!) and a shredded white brug they call 'Confettii'. I left all the plants outside and we have been having non-stop rain -- hope they will be alright.

Eloise, I would kill to be able to walk into a store and buy a brug. They just don't sell them here !! Congrats on the new one. I would love to have a shredded white. When yours blooms, post a pic for us !! Edna

Have been covering my baby Brugs from the Deluge we have been having and will continue to have into the beginning of next week!! It's raising He** with my Desert Roses. But the larger Brugs (from last year) are lovin' the coolness. G.

Yeah, we're a bit colder than so cal, but not too much. We've had about a dozen or so frosts, but that's enough to defoliate the brug. We have also been experiencing the deluge! My yard is soaked, so when you walk on the lawn, you splash water up (I live in the san joaquin valley and it's so flat that theres no drainage.)and theres rain forcast until next week. My brug is taking it real well.

gee8ch, home depot and lowes normally carry brugs-i've seen charles grimaldi and a double white that i dont know the name of. I guess those are the more common ones.

My local Home depot ... hardly ever any Brugs and Lowes is soo far away. We have local OSH, but so far never saw Brugs there either. Once in a while WalMart will have a C. Grimaldi or a Frosty Pink. Bought 2 FP last year from Walmart and they are in ground doing well. Flushed many times since I've had them. But would like to get some of the more unusual ones, too. Armstrong Nursery has Brugs from last year, but when they prune them they don't save the labels, so all are high priced and NOIDS. Gloria

Here's a picture of the brugs I bought yesterday at $15 each. It's raining extremely hard right now. I ran out and brought them into my laundry room so the wind wouldn't knock off the blooms. The shredded white 'Confettii' has over 10 buds so when it flowers I will post a picture; the double white has about six buds besides the four blooms.

Edna, when my 'Confettii' brug gets larger, you can certainly have cuttings -- just remind me. I hadn't been to WWE in over a year and was glad I went. It's only 10 miles from my home so I was there in less than 15 minutes on the freeway.

Sara is the person I've bought from before, and her mom and dad do the farmer's markets in Santa Clarita, Burbank and I think she said also Pasadena. Call for the times they are opened. Last time, I bought salvias Indigo Spires and Purple Majesty, kangaroo paws, pelargonium sidoides, and colocasia Black Mask. This time, the two brugs, senecio petasitis, Leonotis sp., oxalis purpurea 'Garnet', and colocasia Black Mask (again, forgot I already had it). I wanted some other plants, but then I remembered a had a rental car and it is small compared to my Jeep!

The rain stopped for a bit, have to run out to tip one of my plumeria pots that has a water reservoir and don't want root rot. Later.
