Gosh, I'm a dork...I should have labeled the group photo! Jodi, that is indeed Sweet Lilian on her third scape. It thought she was done after 2, and pulled her out of her pot to investigate and there was another bud coming. She has been in bloom and teasing bloom almost the entire time I've had her! I remembered seeing someone's photos with 4 scapes and knew I had to have one of those! Hopefully a fourth may emerge? I can dream, right? Ok, here is another group photo and I wish I could say this was even half of my children: From Misc Pictured from the top on the ledge left to right: 'Red Lion' and Red with white stripes NOID in a planter, 'Sweet Lilian', 'Red Lion', 'Gilmar' and 4 other 'Red Lions' in silver bowl, 'Red (or Double) Dragon', and 'Picotee'. On the filing cabinet are back to front: some kind of palm plant that is not very happy right now, my not Minvera in the back with HUGE leaves, another 'Red Lion' just in leaves, and an 'Apple Blossom' replacement from the one that didn't bloom in bud. Below them on the floor are a big Pothos (in a big tacky pot, but someone gave it to me and I don't know what to do with it) and some kind of Dracena that doesn't really like me. All the leaves fell off, but when I stopped watering it, it grew from the top...so odd! On the wood bench/storage thingy left to right: A gardenia in bud from Vday, a Norfolk Island Pine from last year, 'Flamingo Star' in front, my money tree or Pachira, a random Christmas Cactus, beside and behind are 2 kinds of arrow plant, and then on the floor is a big pot with 7 clearance bulbs of the varitey 'Red Lion'...geez! I have a ton of red lions! I've hit too many clearance sales it seems!!! Hope you don't get exhausted reading all of this...if so, just skip it and look at the photo! HAHA! -Frank

Your "Love Triangle" looks like my second Cutting Edge which was not a Cutting Edge. Yours at least has a slight picotee, mine is plain. I'm not really happy with this bulb regardless of what it is. I have a "Moon Scene" blooming now and I think it is a Love Triangle (which I did not order) and the flower is small and I'm not particularly pleased with this one either. I'll post a picture when it has had a chance to open all the way. It's getting confusing trying to figure out what these bulbs are and none of them in my opinion look anywhere as nice as what is on Saad Assaf's website. At least the Lime Flairs seem true but I got an extra Lime Flair instead of a Cutting Edge, Are you confused yet? If some of these mistakes were outstanding it wouldn't be so bad but I feel like I've wasted quite a bit of money this year on stuff I didn't want. Maybe I'm just getting fussy in my old age! Your Red Lion is lovely nice to see something that is what it's supposed to be! And, your papilio is lovely and now you've got some coveted pollen to make some exciting crosses! dondeldux - I tried to dig up the photo of the parent plant, and came up empty.. Am recalling it as being a solid red we got at Lowes in 2012, but it's entirely possible that it did have a yellowish center and I'm just mis-remembering. Was looking today, and looks like the third of the seedling bulbs is sending out a flower spike. Hopefully there'll be something interesting to post later in the month. :-) Part of me wants to self-pollinate the spurred flower just to see if the trait could be amplified, but another part of me doesn't want to wait another 4+ years and deal with 234092834923 amaryllis seedlings in the meanwhile. (Gave away over 50 of the buggers from previous batch, to narrow it down to the 8 large ones remaining. And that's not counting the pot outside, where a dozen or so apparently overwintered in Virginia with no problem.)
