I've grown Blossom Peacock and Aphrodite and both performed as well as any that I have ever grown.

My Blossom Peacock also re-bloomed in the summer after a late-winter showing.

If you like amaryllis, buy Jewel, a miniature double that is fragrant, I had one until my cat killed it :o(

What source do you use for these?

Raydio...Reading from our friends posts here in the forum, I guess Blossom Peacock does rebloom. I'm not surprised why this is one of the favored varieties.
Smurfboy...sorry to hear about your Jewel. What was the flower size and how many bloom per scape did you get?

By the way, I read that you have Mary Lou. Where did you acquire it? I missed White Peacock in RC, they got sold out before I ordered. Did you get your order from them yet?

No Japanese friends anymore. When I was still in school, I had a few, but none since.
I bought Mary Lou at a local garden store. Not planted yet. Chico is just opening its flowers now.
I bought White Peacock from Hirt's. Horrible. It brought up a scape that whilted, then the bulb is not bringing leaves up... How I hate Hirt's.
RC is sending me a new package.

They are resending the package that has never arrived. Someone must love flowers in the Postal Service. RC offered me to send a new package with slightly different content. I agreed. I hope, I will get it this time...

OMG...can the post office do that? I thought that only happens in the Philippines. Everything I send there including a simple letter has to be sent Registered. If not, it will be lost in the Pacific Ocean...lol!

We are having COLD weather here again. Arggghhhhh!!! High 50s, lows in the 30s, and possible snow showers on Saturday. I hope the RC shipment won't get damaged. The 50 plus potted amaryllises that were already brought outside in the yard had to be taken inside AGAIN. This winter is really crazy. The locals call it the "Dogwood Winter"...having cold weather and snow when the dogwoods are already blooming.

I am just ruining my entire collection because of this moving... I cannot find the trays, so I don't water my flowers and they start to dry out and go dormant... It was not enough for them to recover after flowering...
Chico has brought up a sape with 6 flowers... Pretty... Poor baby.

Soultan...I'm so sorry to hear that. How long will this moving be? Why can't you water them? Can't you go ahead and move the amaryllises ahead of the other stuff? If I were near you, I'd gladly baby sit them for you.

I had to check the amaryllises in the garage twice a day making sure they are ok. So far so good. But Sunday morning would be the coldest with temp. forcasted to go down to 17F. I hope they won't go dormant too.

Just curios, is RC a mail order catalog or an online catalog. I have used Breck,s and Bulbs direct before.

I had a Lemon Lime that also brought up a wilted scape. I thought maybe it was burnt by the sun. Does any one know why it does that? It is finally starting to put out leaves. I will keep watering and see what happens next year.

We are moving into a house that is currently being built. All of my stuff is in boxes that are collepsing. Even the flowers are in cardboard boxes. I can't find the trays for the flowers, and I don't dare to water them, so I wouldn' ruin something in the house. I cannot take them outside either because the workers have no respect for ANYTHING! I am slowly going crazy and so frustrated, that I am considering moving away from here too ahead of time and abruptly before doing something foolish or completely break down.
I bought the flowers to enjoy them, and because of these conditions we are moving in, they became problem, and it does not only hurt me, but the fact that my partner things I am just over-exaggerating this issue after the fifth week of living out of boxes with installers roaming over me sleeping on the bed, and other nice little touches... so it is infuriating... I'm telling you, if I didn't have a dog, I wouldn't know what to do. At least there is someone whom I can cuddle up to when I feel so down.
