Wonderful Suprises

Im amazed on how many of these perenniels have started blooming in thier first year, I have the following blooming or ready to set blooms, now none of these are screaming WOW, since its just a scattering of blooms, im sure next years will be much fuller

some malva zebrina

I have some gallirada either burgandy or seed from arizona sun ready to bloom.

I cant wait untill next spring to see the tutti frutti lupine bloom

Wintersowing really is wonderful isnt it! But I still wouldnt mind a longer summer =) I dont want to rush them cold days upon us yet.

Nice :D

First year blooming perennials for me this year were:
Agastache foeniculum (both planted out and not)
Hyssopus officinalis
Geranium 'Biskovo' (has flower buds but not planted out!)
Magic Carpet Thyme (not planted out yet though)

gaillardia goblin
gaillardia burgundy- first bud forming
veronica- first buds forming
campanula carpatica

Ace of Spades is my favorite scabiosa. Am still waiting for bloom. All my annuals have stayed so small this year don't know if I will get bloom or not though the phlox drummondi is blooming and are only 5" tall.

Fantastic, Brad! I think it was Quinn who was complaining about fungii not rooting very well for her, and I have just been rooting one myself. While not the w o r s t, I still think this one does get fairly stressed, or at least mine did, because of the broad relatively thin leaves. Not to mention the slow rooting this time of year. Luckily it's around the bend now. :) I hope you have blooms to show us soon!
