Kristi, even though I would hate your warm summers, your springtime looks so good! This is the LONGEST cold winter toward spring I think I have ever been in...another day of 38 degree temps with intermittent rain. I did work with seedlings in my growing room where I am starting my flowers for cutting, but my tomato seeds have not even sprouted yet in the growing room, and look at the plants you are setting out! As to your San Remo, the 2nd one is rather nice with the stripes but neither really looks much like the others I have seen, including the 3 I had this year, other then being the same colors. It will be interesting to see what they look like next year, whether they revert to a "normal" San Remo" or are off in their breeding.

Welcome HOME, Lucy and sorry you were traveling in bad weather. What a nightmare! I can't imagine waiting at an airport that long. I would be a major grump after the first two hours. Have fun today getting re-acquainted with all your babies, especially the brugs! We want photos! We are getting out our arks here from all the rain. (We are at 6-8" of rain in the last 6 days and some parts of Atlanta have had over 15". A slow moving "land hurricane" has been traveling thru the region for that long, it just keep rotating around and around!!!)

Dear Smittee, I would not worry about the size of the bananas. I have bought them as small plants and even grown indoors in NY, they grew crazy fast. As soon as spring came, I swear I could measure there growth daily. I don't know what to tell you to do down in FL, but I know they will outgrow there pots quickly. I hope you can plant them out soon. Maybe remove suckers if they begin forming since you wan the tree to grow strong and healthy roots. Andrew

oops.....the Waco Wiseguy thought it was purple :^) It looked like it needed to live with you anyway .....blue, purple, smurful....just goes to prove that I can't see doodly squat!!! I'm also not too bright....after the box was packed and taped and gone to the mail desk, I found the note on my desk that was supposed to go with it...LOL...I decided "oh well, it will be a fun surprise!!!"
