This is the Mom, Rud Prarie Sun, wintersowed in 2007, now in it's second year.

Meet her daughter

OK, I know, the blossom isn't even fully open. But it's obviously a double and shows signs of Mom's coloration with petals more golden in the center and fading to yellow at the edge. Color distinction is less pronounded but definitely there. Going to have the green eye, too. I think I'm in love.

Some of her siblings.

This one partially double

Some other ruds in my yard

This one is offspring of yellow Becky, dwarf, maintained Becky's dark eye but picked up Prarie Sun's coloration.

I also have lots of Rud Irish Eyes. Pretty, but not my favorite

But I'd like a patent on that first double one! I'll call her "Rud Karen". I'm in love!

Karen
