Shamel ash calling for help!

I'm asking this in the AZ forum as this is where I see all the references to shamel ash trees. While doing some overdue yard work yesterday, I noticed one of our 9 shamel ash trees has what appears to be sap running down the trunk. The trees have all been established about 2-1/2 years now and are generally healthly. I haven't noticed any extraordinary bugs or pests. But most took the summer heat pretty hard - lots of brown tips on the leaves, a little leaf dropping. None of the others did anything like this tree however.

Any idea what's going on with this one? Is there anything I can/should do to address this "bleeding"?
