I have never seen one like that. It looks almost like a hibiscus. Maybe someone else will know.

I believe it may be hibiscus trionum, aka flower of an hour - a lovely annual with short-lived flower (hence its name).

I don't know, but it sure is a beauty.

that's what I noticed. The flower is so quick. It's beautiful but goes away so quick. Is it a weed? I'm just wondering why there is a pattern in the way it's coming up from the ground. It's in zigzag manner. Most of the ones I direct sowed are in zigzag manner.
