Clumper Questions (silverstripe)

I have B. Multiplex Silverstripe and a question. I read from Kudzu that Black Bamboo (runner) penetrated a Pond Liner.

I have my silverstripe planted about 6 feet away from my future pond. (The hole is dug I just need to buy the liner pump etc)

Is there any danger of a clumper damageing a pond liner?

Concerning controlling clumpers can I simply mow around them to keep it in control. I am surprised and happy how many shoots have come up so far, but wonder if it may spread into my pond area.

Another question, Can someone give me advice or is there advice already written up on diving clumping bamboo?

I had a piece if this silverstripe blown over in high wind and rain, It was laying on the ground but alive and healthy. I figured I would try and dig it up and pot it in a pot. Well the potted piece looks DEAD DEAD DEAD, so I am guessing I didn't get enough of the roots on this thing.

Any help is appreciated..
